Spent 3.5 days roaming around the city mid-December...during the World Cup final game weekend!&nbsp;</span></div><div><br></div><div><b><u>The money situation</u></b>: &nbsp;</div><div><ul><li>Exchange money once you arrive&nbsp;</li><li>BRING enough US dollars with to last the entire trip, you do not want to pay for anything with credit card or take money out once in Buenos Aires.&nbsp;</li><li>If you use credit card or get money from an ATM the exchange right now is $1 to 180 pesos, but if you go to 'blue market' exchange it's $1 to about 320 pesos.&nbsp;</li><li>Only book a hotel that you can pay in cash at check out (don't pre-pay online)</li></ul></div><div><b style="font-size: 1em;"><u>Getting around</u></b><span style="font-size: 1em;">:&nbsp;</span></div><div><ul><li><b style="font-size: 1em;">Download Didi app</b><span style="font-size: 1em;">, its the local version of Uber, there is Uber but not as reliable</span></li></ul><div><u><b>Where to stay:</b></u></div><div><ul><li>Stay in the Palermo district, it's a nice and safe area with lots within walking or a short cab away&nbsp;</li></ul></div></div>

Whenever I am in a new city, I always spend part of first day touring a city’s Jewish history & sites. Argentina's Jewish population is around 180K, 3rd largest in the Americas (after US & Canada)!

Customs took about 2 hours, the line was LONG. We pre-arranged an airport transport to take us to Dazzler hotel, 🚗 it was a 30ish min ride (cost $20 including tip)

Ordered a cab on the Didi app (local version of Uber) to get from hotel to the plaza it cost $3 for the trip. Walked around the area. Area is known for pick pocketing so we were careful, and had no issue.

Area seemed safe at night, people walking dogs etc. walked around near Plaza Serrano, had din at a great sushi spot, and stopped for a drink at a couple places.

Took a DiDi from Palermo to La Boca, explored, and then walked all the way back to Palermo stopping at sites along the way!

Slept in and then roamed the gorgeous parks and gardens within Palermo area and scoped out places to watch the World Cup!
